CCD - Thailand
Excellence.
This lofty goal is aspirational for disabled children in Thailand, but that’s exactly what Christian Care Foundation for Children with Disabilities in Thailand has achieved. The nonprofit organization’s “Standard of Disability-Related Organization” is rated “Excellent.” As a result, CCD was honored by Thailand’s Ministry of Social Development and Human Security with an award.

Several members of Christ Church have seen these accomplishments firsthand or have served on its board, and there are annual opportunities to volunteer in person. The Outreach Commission supports this life-affirming work by contributing annually to the salary of a physical or occupational therapist. As a result, youngsters gain better use of their limbs and improve mobility and dexterity. Becoming able to meet their own needs allows many to remain at home and enter the mainstream.

CCD also operates Rainbow House, a residential home for up to 40 children, an independent living home for young-adult males, several day-care centers, and community-based rehab projects in four provinces. Parents of some of the youngsters held a Christmas celebration in 2023 that can be viewed on this YouTube video, or below on this page.
