A Weekend of Nourishment for Body, Mind, and Spirit at Christ Church
Christ Church is truly an example of a parish that's full of life, with events and gatherings happening every day, both virtually and in-person, and for all ages. This weekend, July 19-21, is one filled with gatherings that are sure to nourish each one of us!
Back-to-Back Movie Days
Friday and Saturday
Bring your favorite movie munchies to a double-bill movie screening weekend. At 7 p.m. this Friday, at 7 p.m. for the film Living Waters: Intelligent Design in the Oceans of the Earth (view the trailer here). Then at 9 a.m. on Saturday, a repeat screening of the film After Death will take place at the Center for Spiritual Nourishment (more info below). Group discussions will follow both events, so join us as we share thoughts and insights from these films.
Join Us at the Center for Spiritual Nourishment
Saturday on the Christ Church campus from 8:30 to 12 noon
Christ Church's Center for Spiritual Nourishment takes place this Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon, and everyone is invited to gather with us. The CSN provides opportunities for spiritual growth for Christ Church members and the larger community by offering an array of experiences that engage the mind, body, and spirit. We will be tending to our souls in the community! There are sessions on Contemplative Christianity and Meditation, Spiritual Direction, Exploring Thin Spaces and Liminal Places, Science Supporting Spiritual Reality, Trauma and Spirituality, and we close with a Healing Liturgy worship service. Join us for one session, or for many - they are all open to the public. You can find the entire program and schedule on our website: https://www.christchurchcolumbia.org/post/nourish-your-spirit-this-saturday
Cycling for Health and Fellowship
Saturday Morning at 9:00 a.m. - meet in the parking lot of New Brick (lower level)
At 9 a.m. this Saturday, our growing cycling group gathers in the New Brick parking lot for an enjoyable ride around parts of Columbia. Bring your helmet and bike, and join us for an hour or so of exercise and fellowship. If interested, please email cycling@christchurchcolumbia.org so we don't leave without you! You can learn more about our cycling group, our routes, and other cycling resources at www.christchurchcolumbia.org/health.
MOCC Breakfast
Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Another Broken Egg
Everyone is welcome to join us for breakfast this Saturday, June 15th as we'll gather at Another Broken Egg in Elkridge at 9:30 a.m. Come enjoy some great food and even better conversation and fellowship.
Blood Pressure Checks and One-on-One Consults
Sunday in New Brick at 9:00 a.m.
At 9 a.m. this Sunday, the Christ Church Health Ministry will provide blood pressure checks as well as one-on-one pharmacist consults to any parishioner who needs them. Please come to the Elevator Room in New Brick (main level) with any questions on medications or other health and wellness-related concerns.
Worship this Sunday at Christ Church
in New Brick at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m.
Christ Church is following our summer worship schedule, when we have two services every Sunday. Both take place in the New Brick sanctuary as the Rev. Canon M. Joanna White leads us this week at 8:00 a.m. (without music) or 10:30 a.m. (with music). We gather for coffee fellowship in the Narthex in between services, so join us then, as well.
