Nourish Your Spirit - this Saturday
Christ Church's Center for Spiritual Nourishment will provide opportunities for spiritual growth for CEC members and the larger community by offering an array of experiences that engage the mind, body, and spirit. We will be tending to our souls in community!

Sessions will be scheduled throughout the morning, so drop in for a bit, or come for the entire event.

Drop in on any session, or participate in the entire series

Spiritual Direction Group
led by Carol Abbott
located in the New Brick, Sanctuary
Practice listening deeply to each other using prompts from scripture, poetry, nature and our bodies.
These practices are designed to help us notice and respond to the Holy moving in our lives.
Contemplative Christianity & Meditation
led by Leah Chrest
located in Old Brick
Learn (briefly) about the history of contemplative Christianity. Experience the power of breath work and meditation.
Discover how to inwardly attune ourselves to the Spirit’s voice. Two sessions offered today (both are the same).
Science Supporting Spiritual Reality
led by George Toth
located in New Brick, Piano Room
Explore Near-Death Experience (NDE) evidence through the film “After Death.”
Immerse yourself in the evidence that true life lies in the spiritual realm waiting for each of us to choose living with our Creator, the God of infinite love, and His complete involvement in each of our lives.

Thin Spaces and Liminal Places

Experience a safe space for dialogue.
Explore the meaning of “thin space” and “liminal place.” Gain an understanding of the term “lifeline.”
Have an opportunity for inner work.
Trauma & Spirituality
led by Michael Looney
located in the New Brick, Great Hall
Learn about the theory of trauma and it’s effects on mind, body, and spirit. Discover the importance of trauma-informed care for ourselves, our loved ones, and our community.
Discuss the role of the church in causing trauma, and how it can lead to our healing.
